Chicago has overtaken Orlando, FL as the most popular destination for meetings and events, according to data from tech firm Cvent. Orlando is second, with Las Vegas as the third. The increased appeal stems from the city’s recent surge in hotel renovations and its central location, which helps curb transportation costs, said Cvent’s vice president of marketing, Eric Eden.
