More perks are coming to lower-level elites in Hyatt’s World of Hyatt loyalty program next year thanks to its new Milestone Rewards program.
Hyatt is enabling guests at 14 hotels to stream videos from content services like Netflix and Hulu onto their hotel room TV screens.
To make that happen, Hyatt is integrating Sonifi Solutions’ video-streaming service into the World of Hyatt mobile app.
Two New Orleans hotels, the Hyatt Centric French Quarter and the Hyatt Regency, are among the 14 hotels offering the service. Hyatt said it was in the process of adding more hotels.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation will be launching a new global loyalty programme starting March 1, 2017.
The new “World of Hyatt” programme will comprise three tiers – Discoverist, Explorist and Globalist – with members accruing more rewards as they advance through the tiers based on Qualifying Nights or Base Points.
As of February 14, Hyatt Hotels Corp. will now offer complimentary Wi-Fi on an unlimited number of devices at their hotels worldwide. Free upgrades to premium internet is offered for Platinum and Diamond Hyatt Gold Passport members when available. Hyatt has made this roll out as a response to travelers who now view Wi-Fi as an essential part of travel.
Starting in February, free Wi-Fi access will be available in guest rooms and public spaces at all Hyatt Hotels properties worldwide, regardless of membership in Hyatt’s loyalty programs. Members of the Hyatt Gold Passport program will receive premium Wi-Fi.
