Airlines Release New Versions of Apps for Apple Watch

With the debut of the Apple Watch on Friday, five U.S. carriers are releasing updated applications that feature capabilities. JetBlue, American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, United Airlines and Delta Airlines updated their apps to offer users of the watch a slightly different experience then smartphone users. All the airlines have a ventured to provide their travelers with an user experience that is simplified.

Airlines Adding More Flights To Accommodate Super Bowl Fans

Airlines are adding dozens of flights to serve Phoenix in order to accommodate the large crowds flooding the city for Super Bowl weekend. Travelers are expected to stream into the city weekend between Friday, Jan. 30, and Monday, Feb. 2. United Airlines, is adding 55 flights, including two new routes, to accommodate Super Bowl fans. Alaska, Delta, Jet Blue and American are also adding extra flights to provide flights to the influx of travelers.

Alaska and Delta to add new flights from Seattle-Tacoma

Alaska Airlines plans to boost its daily departures from the Seattle airport by 11%, adding 27 new, daily flights by spring 2015. Alaska plans to offer flights from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to Chicago, Denver, Detroit and New Orleans, among other cities. Delta Air Lines is also adding flights from Seattle later this year. In November, Delta will add several daily flights to Spokane, Wash., and Calgary, Canada.
